A little celebrity gossip

Can I just say, for the record, how much I love Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake together? You can have whatever judgements you have with them, but I love them!

I loved Jessica when she was on 7th Heaven, her character Mary, reminded me so much of my older sister- she's always kept that report for me. And I've loved Justin since... since I was 9 and he was the heart-throb of the best boy band that ever lived! I even met the fella when they toured Boise! Boo freaking yeah! I will always love JT. I even have a shirtless poster of him hanging above our bed... I put it up as joke, but I haven't taken it down yet. Poor Warren. Kudos to them for being such a cute and amazing celebrity couple. I hope I don't jinx it, but I wish them all the best, and a happy and lovingly long marriage!

In other news, I took a couple months hiatus on my book writing (let's just be honest, it's more like writers block) and a couple nights ago, I started up again. I'm not really satisfied with it though. Mostly, the direction... because I'm just writing to write and it's not really compiling into anything but jibber jabber. I thought about maybe changing the style a bit, maybe into a journal entry form? I'm not sure... I could sure some input there. My only thing with a journal form is that I actually have my journals from back in high school which is where the first of my series is taking place, so I'd have something to build off of, but that also means I can't throw anything of todays world in there as it wouldn't be correct, since it was 7 years ago. Ya know? So for example, I can't relate anything to Twilight because Twilight wasn't around back then. Hopefully within the next few weeks, all things being equal, I'll have something for people to critique.

Also, quick question for ya'lls... An incident has occurred with a very good friend of mine... actually, just to clarify, it's been a waterfall of different events that have been pouring down on me and finally hit a breaking point the other night- which has me thinking. At what point do you say something? Is it better to be honest, or just let the cookie crumble and slowly back away? At what point do you say, 'ok, this friendship isn't really working for me'? And how do you get out of it?

ONE LAST THING! Two more weeks kids... two more weeks of taking the stinkly, smelly bus! Two more weeks of loud, naked neighbors! Probably should start packing, though.

Tom Cars!

Last weekend was Victoria Day, so we had a long weekend. So Saturday we went to Daisy Creek with Warren's dad and stepmom, which is in southern Alberta, and west towards the British Columbia border... ie, the glacier-y wilderness [which is all you really need to know]. We will disregard the fact that I saw far, FAR too many wolf prints in the mud... fresh prints, might I add. Oh, and bear prints. I'm tellin' ya... they're out to get me.

Anyways, here are pictures from our day:
Kelsey, Wilderness Girl Suprem-o
Daisy Creek... with some snow.

Scott and Larraine- thanks again for taking us with you!
Can life get any better? I submitt that it CANNOT!

In just three short weeks

This baby, will be all ours!
Our new home is in a lake community, which means we have a lake in our community. Duh. And we can go there anytime we want!

It hit me yesterday that we will be moving soon. It still seems so far away. I might shed a tear or two.
Here is our little home! It's townhouse style, but it's an end unit so really it's just a duplex style. No condo fees. Fully landscaped front and BACK yard (woo!). And the inside is to die for! Plus the lake...

Have we started packing? Nope! :)

Help?

I am not experienced in the field of pregnancy, so I am seeking the help of my friends who are. No, I am not expecting... But my best friend is and I want to help her the best I can. So, I am needing everyone's favorite books about pregnancy, and any other things you found useful. My friend (I really wish I could say her name, but I can't) has been super sick and very discouraged. She's on some meds but she is still just plain awful.

Anyways, please give me any and all things you recommend. Especially books. Kthanksbye!

A Road to Albuquerque

I've had so many thoughs about all the recent events that have been taking place. Nothing else. No pictures of epic adventures or pictures of anything really... just thoughts. Just been alonnnnne with ma' thoughts...

Last week, I went out to dinner with my friend Tressa. She told me something that has resonated with me ever since. She told me how awesome she thought Warren and I were, and how proud she was for us. It was really nice to hear from someone else. Warren and I tell each other all the time how awesome we are because we know we can actually be proud of our accomplishments. Not in a boastful way, but in a reassuring way- we both take turns having regrets every now and then. It was just so comforting, and her words actually humbled me, because it was just solidifying my confidence in my decision to buy a house. The next day, Warren's dad said almost the same thing. He's told us before how proud he is of us, but this time it just seemed much more sincere and relatable. It felt more like it was coming from my mom, and not necessarily him. Which I know probably sounds a little creepy, but it was comforting. I wish she were here to see my new crib, and now that we have a room with a bed she could stay in... I guess the point is, is that it meant a lot hearing from other people that we are responsible and smart, and admirable.

One of my close friends recently found out she is pregnant (but I can't tell you who yet!). She told me right after she found out, and it's still hush-hush. It's so fun being apart of the secret. I've never been apart of the pregnancy secret before, and it's really fun- not going to lie! I told her I called dibs on planning her baby shower, even though I have no clue what you even do at one considering I've never actually attended one that wasn't for my sister. I told her about this plan I had to bake her a cake to reveal the gender, so long as she cooperates and has the doctor write it down on paper and she doesn't peek! (Thanks to Erin for her brilliant cake idea).

All of the pregnancy talk and my urge to want to go back to school started to make me think that I had missed a sign somewhere. Maybe buying a house wasn't the road I was supposed to take yet? It's not like I want to drop everything and start a family or anything, but there's nothing stopping me from buying a house... and up until last week, nothing was comfirming it either. People think that because kids gross me out and I think they should be seen and not heard, that I'm never going to have a family. As humorous as it is... it's kinda false. I'd like to have kids one day, but i'm okay with it being when I'm 30. I'd really like to be a college graduate, but I have about 14 possible degrees I'm considering...

So anyways, my confidence is restored.

In other news, I'm going to be throwing Leo a birthday party. Not exactly sure when because we don't know his actual birthdate per say, but we know it's in May. Don't think I'm crazy... I'm not really going to throw an actual party... just invite his friend Scout over for some kitty treats and a sleep over. I'm the cutest cat mom ever. We bought him his last bag of kitten food last week... I about died. I got a little teary eyed.

Yesterday I had this weird thing happen. As you all know, I take transit in the mornings to get to work [can I just say how freaking excited I am to not take the train anymore come June 15?!]. Yesterday morning, I was finished getting ready a little early so I started getting my transit ticket out and putting my jacket on yada yada yada... I had just gotten my Lia Sophia earings and was really excited to show them off, so I thought about bring all 5 pairs to work with me, when suddenly I got this extremely loud voice inside my head that said "don't take them, they wont replace them if your purse gets stolen." It was hard to misread the message, obviously I'm not bring them to work today. As I was getting more of my stuff together, I got the same thing again, only this time it was telling me to switch everything to a purse I wouldn't be upset about if it got stolen. Okay, so I did... but then it told me AGAIN to put all my valuables in my pockets. So I put my wallet inside my breast pocket of my coat, my keys in one pocket and my phone in the other. Nothing in my purse except for a bottle of lotion. Needless to say by this point, I was pretty freaked out. Omg I'm going to get mugged...
But nothing happened. I didn't quit understand it... but then I told Warren about it, and he said maybe because I took all those precautions, the guy decided not to mug me. PHEW! Omg.

Geez, is this long enough?
