Pictures from Warren's phone

I went through his phone, because, well to be honest I wanted to see who he was texting and what they were talking about... I got bored real fast, so I started going through his pictures. Ah ha! New blog post! It's so hard having one of these things because I never know what to say. I sit and think about stuff all day, and I get nothing. Then when something completely random happens, I forget all about it until a week later when all the details are no longer in my memory and it's not very interesting. Sorry if this is dumb!

Over here, are my wisdom teeth. I got the monstrous things pulled on April 9, 2008. A day I will always remember! Mostly because after my mom went back to Boise after she figured I was stable enough to live on my own again with all the drugs and stuff, Warren proposed. Funny, eh?

This is our TV after we got it assembled and positioned in the corner. Warren was quite proud of himself for putting it together. Also, need not I forget the Wii on the bottom.

To the right, is me in the hospital getting my very first IV. That could have been the worst night of my life. I think I would rather get my teeth pulled again!

Next, is my sister cutting my hair. And my grandma in the background. I cut a good 7 inches off. A little fact about me- I grow my hair out for a few years, then do something drastic to it. Like this! My sister is in hair school, so she did a great job, of course!

Below is me over thanksgiving after my hair cut. My mom in the background fixing Thanksgiving dinner, and me pouring some Martinelli's!

Anyways, so those are the pictures I found. What a good husband... documenting some of the worst times of my life! Just kidding!

Things are going good for us. I hate living in Logan because there's nothing to do... and most of my friends are never here because they are single... and they have money to go do things. Warren is happy that school is out for Christmas, but bored because he doesn't have a job, and is home all day to do nothing. We will be going to Colorado for Christmas. Then it's back to school for Warren, and me, well back to work. Since that's all I do. Anyways, but things are going well. My health is kind of improving. I have to change some medications for birth control, and take this other one to help my stomach relax so I can sleep and eat like normal again. It's been really frustrating dealing with this. I'm really scared to start a new perscription for birth control because the last one didn't work out so well, and I'm scared things will go down hill again, and I don't know that I can handle it much more. It'll eventually become so bad that I wont be able to work... and then where would we be?! But, my doctor said she really liked this one, on the down side, if I do start to feel sick again, I will have to get an implantation form. Like NuvaRing or IUD. I will probably faint all over the place if I have to do that! I get a little light headed just thinking about it! Birth control sucks!

Anyways, that's all for now! Sorry if this is really dumb, haha!

Life Just Isn't

Life isn't about keeping score, it's not about how many people call you and it's not about who you've dated, are dating or haven't dated at all. It isn't about who you've kissed, what sport you play, or which guy or girl likes you. It's not about your shoes or you hair or the color of your skin or where you live or go to school. In fact, it's not about your grades, money, clothes or colleges that accept you or not. Life isn't about if you have lots of friends, or if you are alone, and it's not about how accepted or unexcepted you are. Life just isn't about that.

But life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about how you feel about yourself. It's about trust, happiness, and compassion. It's about sticking up for your friends and replacing inner hate with love. Life is about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence. It's about what you say and what you mean. It's about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. Most of all, it is about choosing to use your life to touch someone else's in a way that could never have been achieved otherwise. These choices are what life's about.-- Chicken Soup For The Soul

This is one of my all time favorite quotes.

I think of this when I'm super discouraged and feel as though my life isn't anything special or anything to be proud of.

And then I remember the time when my best friend read this in seminary one day, and had everyone in the room in tears.

That was one powerful and spiritual experience I will never forget...

Nothing really important to put here

So, I know that Thanksgiving is over, but I had an experience over the holiday that made me feel grateful... and it didn't really hit me until later.

We left Logan around 4pm, right after I got off work. Warren picked me up and had the car all packed so that we could leave right away and get there earlier. As we were about to get on to the highway to head north, my cousin calls. Oh shoot! I had totally forgotten that I asked her if she wanted to come with us! She lives in Provo and her parents live in Las Vegas, so she didn't really have a place to go. So instead of going north, we went south and waited for her to catch up to us in Brigham City. It takes a good 2 hours to get from Provo to Ogden, and she was driving in holiday 5 o clock traffic... surprisingly she got here pretty quick. We left BC around 7... it was dark already, and my cousin Adrian, was super hungry... so I drove while she ate.

We had a ton of fun hanging out with my family... of course there is always drama between me and my younger sister who no one likes.. just throwing that out there... haha!

Anyways, my older sister decided to start a new tradition, which is after everyone has eaten, and is still sitting at the table, we go around and each person says something they are grateful for this year. Most people said they were thankful for having a job, and having money, and having food... others said family and friends... but my cousin said "I'm thankful Kelsey said 'we'll wait for you' because otherwise I would have been at home all weekend with no family and no friends... and no one to spend the holiday with." I thought it was touching at the time, but on the ride back home I realized how important it was to her that she got to be with family she doesn't get to see very often. And how if I hadn't of waited, she probably wouldn't have come. What an impact that had on my day. I was so humbled by her kind words... and I guess what surprised me more was when I realized how much I had grown up... I wasn't proud that I had waited, I was glad I did, but it didn't consume my entire attitude... it hadn't even crossed my mind that I went out of my way to make sure someone else was happy.

I wish I could have this same attitude towards this coming Christmas. I'm scared to go to Warren's mom's house. I've never really spent any time with them, other than just a little bit here and there. Things there are a lot different than they are at my house, and not to mention, this will be my very first Christmas without being at my own home and not being able to see my family. Plus, we have to drive there. Last time I checked it was an 8 hour drive... and my car struggles with the drive to Boise, which is half as long. I'm really nervous about it. I guess it'll work out though right?

Other random things... I beat everyone at bowling! Even Heidi and Warren! Heidi usually always breaks 100... Warren is usually up there in the 130's... but me, I got 136. I've never even gotten a 90 on that dumb game! Wii bowling however, my score kicks trash. I have the all time record of 234. I was so happy for myself. After a stressful day like that had been, it as good to know that I could do something, and do it well.

anyways, I have no pictures because I'm at the library on campus while Warren writes some papers for school.
